Members and friends gathered recently at Briars Hall Country House Hotel in Burscough, Lancashire, for a Charity Dinner. Our guests of honour were Deputy Lieutenant Charles Hadcock and his wife Camilla. Charles Hadcock is an old boy of Ampleforth College and was made a Fellow of the Royal British Society of Sculptors in 2008 in recognition of his artistic work, which is usually monumental in proportions and reflects his interest in geology, engineering and mathematics.

We arrived at Briars Hall for an aperitif before the Dinner.
The Grand Prior welcomed our guests and thanked all those present for their participation.
We enjoyed a splendid dinner and the good company of our members and friends, raising funds for the Grand Priory's nominated charities. We have recently sent another £10,000 to Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith, the Archbishop of Colombo in Sri Lanka, for the leprosy charity of which he is the patron, SUROL (The Society for the Uplift and Rehabilitation of Leprosy affected person).
One of the Grand Prior's aims has been to encourage new membership, especially to attract young people who will be the future of the Order. The Grand Priory greatly values the Esquires who joined last year and the new members from this year, young people who are committed to their Catholic Faith and willing to take an active part in the life of the Order.
The clergy seem to be sharing a joke!
Thanks to our photographer, John Robinson, for all the photographs.
A whole host of pictures below for our members and guests to spot themselves enjoying the evening.
Musical entertainment helped the evening go with a swing!
