The Military and Hospitaller Order of Saint Lazarus of Jerusalem is one of the oldest Orders of Chivalry, dating back to the Crusades in the Holy Land during the 11th Century.
Today, the Knights and Dames of Saint Lazarus operate as an Association of the Faithful of the Catholic Church, maintained by its Spiritual Protector Cardinal Antoine Kambanda, through a Non-Governmental Organization, under the leadership of its Grand Master, HRH Prince Francois d’Orleans, Count of Dreux, In association with the Royal House of France.
The Order maintains international headquarters within the Chancery Offices of the Catholic Diocese of Orléans, France.
The Order has retained its traditional moral values such as the spirit of service, sacrifice, and discipline. Characteristics which still define the Knights and Dames today.
