Charity Dinner at Salmesbury Hall

Following the Vigil Service this year the Grand Priory held a Charity Dinner
in the presence of the Grand Master, HE Jan Count Dobrzenský z Dobrzenicz.
We were pleased to welcome Col. Alan Jolley, Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Lancashire
and his wife Mary among our guests.
Seen here also, Fr Armaund de Mallery FSSP,
Rector of St Mary's Shrine in Warrington.

Chev. Anthony Dickinson,
on the eve of his installation as the new Grand Prior of Great Britain.

The fine Hall at Samlesbury was built in 1325 by Gilbert de Southworth and was the primary home of the Southworth family until the early 17th century.  The Martyr, St John Southworth (whose body now lies in Westminster Cathedral lived here) lived here .

Members kindly donated some fine gifts for a prize draw.
Thanks to some of our new Esquires who did the hard work of selling the tickets.
We raised £700 to add to the evening's total for our Charities.
Thank you everyone.

A cheque for £200 was presented to the Deputy Lord Lieutenant for BLESMA,
One of the charities the Grand Priory supports here in the UK.

During the evening we were treated to some extraordinarily entertaining renditions of various
Noel Coward songs by Ailsa Mainwaring (with David Scot-Thomas at the piano).

A selection of photographs depicting the evening
with some of our many members and guests.
